Spicy plum marinated pork chops
My wife found a recipe similar to this one overseas and cooked it for dinner. I was pleased that it tasted as good as the recipe sounds. People often try and cook pork chops without success. Try this recipe and I think you will add it to your recipe book.
Place the pork chops flat, into a deep plastic container and keep cool in the refrigerator.
Take the seeds out of the plums and roughly chop the plums and place the plum meat into a medium size saucepan. Add the curry powder, sugar, lemon juice, orange juice, minced onion, cracked pepper, sea salt, and white wine. Bring all the ingredients to the boil then simmer the plum marinade for 20 minutes. Puree the marinade with a bar blender then cool down the plum marinade in the refrigerator. When the plum marinade has cooled down, pour the marinade over the pork chops. Leave the marinade over the pork chops for at least 2 hours then turn the pork chops over and leave marinade for another 2 hours. After the pork chops have marinated for long enough, heat a hot grill(flat or char) and place the marinated pork chops on to the hot grill and cook the pork chops for 5 minutes on both sides. Serve you pork chops with either salad, vegetables or for a bar-b-q, just with other meats.
