Veal stroganoff
This is a very common recipe that can be eaten all over the world. Boil or steam some rice and serve your veal stroganoff on top of the steamed or boiled rice.
Slice the onion and spring onion and place them onto a flat tray. Slice the gherkins and fresh garlic and place them next to the onions and spring onions. Heat a medium size cooking pot and add the olive oil. When the pot becomes very hot, add the onion and spring onions and fry the onions and spring onions for two to three minutes. Add the tender veal strips and the chopped garlic and gherkins and fry all the ingredients for around 10 minutes. Add the red wine and reduce the red wine by two thirds, then add the cream and sour cream. Turn the heat down until the veal stroganoff reaches a simmer. Simmer the veal stroganoff for 45 minutes. Serve the veal stroganoff on boiled or steamed rice.
1 pound tender veal strips
2 ounces spring onions
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 brown onion
1 clove garlic
¼ cup gherkins
¼ cup red wine
3 cups sour cream
½ cup thick cream
